GriefBot

Getting started

From an account to the menu in CS2 in six steps, and what to do when the loader says no.

Up to date

Build 6.5 is made for CS2 1.41.9.2, the version live now.

Status
  1. 1 What you need

    • Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit.
    • Counter-Strike 2, installed through Steam.
    • A GriefBot account with an active plan. Create one or sign in. See plans.
  2. 2 Download the loader

Download it from your account, never from anywhere else: each download is made for your account, and a copy from someone else will not sign you in.

  3. 3 Get past SmartScreen

The first time you open a new build, Windows may show a blue box: Windows protected your PC. Click More info, then Run anyway. Windows does this for programs it has not seen on many PCs yet; every loader update is new to it again.

  4. 4 Run it as administrator

Right-click the loader, pick Run as administrator, and say Yes. The loader has to open the CS2 process to load the menu into it, and Windows only lets an administrator do that.

  5. 5 Sign in

Use the same username and password as this site. Tick Remember me to skip this next time. The first sign-in binds this PC to your account.

  6. 6 Start CS2 and press Load

Start Counter-Strike 2 and wait for its main menu, then press Load. The loader says Loaded when it is done. In game, F2 opens the menu; you can pick another key in the menu itself. Load again after every CS2 restart.

When the loader says no

Run the loader as administrator

The loader could not open CS2. Close it, right-click it, pick Run as administrator, and press Load again.

Your antivirus blocked the load

Some antivirus programs stop a program from writing into another one, or remove the loader file outright. Allow the loader in your antivirus, download it again from your account if it was removed, and press Load again.

CS2 updated — the build is being updated

Valve updated CS2 and the current build was made for the version before, so loading it now could crash the game. Wait for the new build: the status page says when it is out, and the loader picks it up by itself.

Couldn't reach griefbot.net

Check your connection and try again in a minute. A VPN, proxy or firewall that reads HTTPS traffic stops the loader: it only talks to griefbot.net over a certificate it checks itself. If the site itself is down, the status page will not load either.

Your session ended — sign in again

A sign-in lasts a while and then ends, for your account's safety. Sign in again in the loader; with Remember me ticked it does that by itself.

CS2 closed while loading

CS2 quit or restarted while the loader was working. Start CS2, wait for the main menu, and press Load again.

This PC is not allowed (device slots)

Every device slot on your account is taken by another PC. Free the old one on Account › Security (once every 30 days), or open a support request.

No active plan

The loader needs a plan. Pricing has them; the loader works the moment the payment is confirmed.

Something else went wrong (code E…) — send us the log

Open a support request with the code the loader showed, and attach what its log says: paste %TEMP%\gb_loader.log into the File Explorer address bar to open it. Never send your password.
