Terms of service
Updated
These terms cover griefbot.net, the GriefBot loader and the overlay it downloads ("the software"), the forum and the config library. The site is run by [[FILL: legal name of the operator and its address]] ("we"). By creating an account or buying a plan you agree to them.
Your account
- One account per person. Signups are by invitation; the member who invited you is shown on your profile, and we may hold them responsible for bringing in someone who is then banned.
- Keep your password to yourself. The loader binds each PC it signs in from to your account; the number of PCs is limited, and sharing an account is a reason to end it.
- You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.
- Staff can suspend, mute or delete an account that breaks these terms, is used to attack the service or other members, or is paid for with a payment that is later reversed.
Plans and payment
- Plans are timed (a number of days of access) or lifetime. The price, the length and what the plan includes are shown on the pricing page and again before you pay; the price you are shown at checkout is the price you pay.
- Access starts the moment the payment is confirmed. Because of that, and because the software is digital content, you are asked at checkout to agree that your 14-day right of withdrawal ends when access starts. See the [[FILL: link text]] refunds page for what we do refund.
- A payment that is reversed or charged back ends the access it bought and bans the account.
- Payments are taken by the provider you choose at checkout (card, PayPal, crypto, or a manual transfer). We never see card numbers.
The software
- The software is provided as is. It is a third-party program for a game we do not control; the game's publisher updates the game without notice, and the software may stop working until we update it. The build status page says where things stand. Time lost to such an outage is handled as described on the refunds page.
- Using third-party software with an online game may break that game's own rules and can lead to that game account being restricted. That is your decision and your risk.
- You may not reverse-engineer, redistribute, resell or lend the software or your access to it.
The forum, shoutbox and library
- You keep the rights to what you post; you give us the right to show it on the site. Staff can edit, move, hide or delete posts, and can see earlier versions of edited posts.
- No illegal content, no threats, no doxxing, no advertising, no selling of invites or accounts. Report posts with the Report button.
- Configs and loadouts you publish to the library can be installed by other members; a published item can be taken down by staff.
Ending things
- You can stop using the service at any time. Ask staff to delete your account; what we keep afterwards is explained on the privacy page.
- We can change these terms. A change is announced on the site; using the service after that is accepting it.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of [[FILL: country or state]]. Questions go to [[FILL: contact email or forum link]].
